Week One Done!

Wish Liverpool and I a happy one-week anniversary!

I have officially been in the lovely city of Liverpool, England for 7 days! (I came before move-in) Classes began on the 29th of January and it has been a relatively smooth transition into them. The professors here are incredibly kind and interested in the subjects that they're teaching. I am taking a class on the ethics of AI, one on Screen Industries and Sports, and another on the Medieval History of England. The classes here are similar to those at USC, they have lectures and then seminars during the week in order to discuss what was taught in the lecture! But some important differences not told to you before studying abroad is how the assignments will be graded and just how many of them there will be. I am here to let you know, that England does not like to give you homework! All of my classes only have a few assignments throughout the year, and one of them only has one assignment the whole year that's worth 100% of my grade! Talk about stressful!

Luckily, every professor is interested in meeting with students and discussing how to succeed in their class. Another advantage to being a study abroad student is that many professors want to get to know you because you are from another country!

At first, I was worried about being here without anyone from USC, but now that I'm here I can not wait to see what this semester holds for me! I am excited to keep the updates coming!
