Dear family, friends, and strangers,

Hello! Despite my day to day of studying and traveling while abroad, I have graciously been allowed to work for The Association Shamrock Nepal, which is a non-profit organization established in 2006 to provide funding to underprivileged children and give them the opportunity to a good education.

Today, after 16 years, the school has an outstanding reputation not only for the excellent academic grades that the children achieve but also for the behavior and courtesy shown by the children as they interact in the local community.

For many poor children in Nepal, quality education is an inaccessible dream. Intelligent children from small subsistence-farming villages high in the Himalayas have no chance to go beyond basic primary education. Shamrock is an English medium school following the Nepali national curriculum with local teachers and visiting international volunteers.

During my time interning at Shamrock School thus far, I have been tasked with multiple projects related to content creation. I have been designing student profiles for each of the classes of students that attend Shamrock School in Nepal, and they have been sent to many donors to hopefully raise funding for those who have not received it yet.

I also have been helping write copy about emails sent to the trustees, staff, and teachers that are associated with the school. I am currently working on expanding their social media presence on Facebook and am designing new posters for a GoFundMe that my boss ran in March to raise money and for a donor dinner that is occurring in April!

Currently, we are trying to raise money to help fund the education of 9 children and will need all the help we can get!

Here is the link to donate if you are able!

It has been an honor working with this organization and I have loved my team that has helped me along the way.

Anyway, that’s all for now!

Peace and Love,

TC
